This contribution will add a Google Checkout button to your store, just near your usual Checkout button in shopping cart. This contribution is very easy to install (just 1 modification need to be done!) and you will be the one of those shops having nice Google Checkout button.

Features includes:

Creates a Google shopping cart on-the-fly on your shopping cart page.
Enable customers to use Google checkout instead of your usual checkout process
Works in all modern browsers
You can use another button matching your store style to show Google checkout

The contribution may be found at http://www.advancewebsoft.com/downloads/free-scripts/google-checkout-for-oscommerce-p.html

This topic is for any recent updates, bugfixes, latest releases and anything related to this product.

Alex:

Found your forum - it's http://forums.advancewebsoft.com

and the link in your readme file for this contrib is wrong.  It's trying to go to http://www.forum.advancewebsoft.com/

Also, it looks like your GC contrib doesn't work with the STS (Simple Template System).  When I add your code to the cart, I get nothing but a white page - nothing loads on screen.

Thanks for finally finding us. We did move the forum from "forum" subdomain to "fourms" one becuase of some restrictions oh our host.
As fot STS - this is another way to load html + php, so I think this need to be a littl bit redone so it will work. I think I will have a comment on
this in a few days.

Thanks

Could you give me the url of your site to look at? I will help you with it, but maybe I'll require the access to modify some files.
If so, get in touch to us through a contact us page.

Thanks

Is this contribution a level 1 or level 2 implementation of the Google Checkout API as defined here:
http://code.google.com/apis/checkout/developer/index.html#two_levels_of_integration

Thanks!

This is a level 1 implementation. We are working on a Level 2 implementation and it will be available soon.

I have uploaded Google Checkout to my site but it does not show at all.
I don't get any error message, but the button does not show. I have uploaded numerous osCommerce modules so I feel certain I have done it corretly.
I also check with my hosting provided and they say they have all the libraries mentioned in the install file installed..
My site is globalnet-marketing.net/calalog/
Has there been any problems with this happening ?

hi alex,

really keen to get this working on my CRE store, only seem to be having a similar issue to the guy above - namely, have installed as best as i can see (although the code wasn't 100% the same as suggested, so had to slightly guess the changes etc) only i get no google button or errors ..?

have also posted my full code changes in the CRE subsection of this forum several days ago, only no reply as yet ..  Sad

so, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get back to me either way (altho ideally with good news for a quick fix ..!  Wink )

cheers ...

Hi,

Unfortunately, we have not yet written this contribution for a CRE loaded store. As you have problably noticed,
the contrib is available for OsCommerce MS2.2 and for OScMax.

As the CRE loaded store structure is a bit different from MS2.2, it will not work for it.
Some changes need to be done, as CRE has template system (and Ms2.2 not) + another structure of attributes etc.

Hopefully, we will write this contrib for CRE loaded soon.

Best,
Alex

hi alex,

first of all, thanks for coming back to me on this one (and sorry for the multipple posts - was feeling a little desperate ..?!  Roll Eyes )

anyway, understand there's a difference between the stores, only hadn't really thought it would be such an issue for a coder to "tweak" one to fit the other (especially as i've since tried two other solutions for CRE which also work, albeit with google still refusing to add any UK VAT for some unknown and very annoying reason ..?!  Huh)

that said, still like/prefer the look of your approach, so please let me know as soon as you have done this - and am sure you will find plenty of takers on the CRE boards, as there's so much confusion, there really just looking for one reliable source to say "hey, here you go - all done & nicely packaged!"  Wink

ps don't suppose you have any broad idea as to when you might possibly get round to the port ..?

cheers ..
