Hello,
I just installed the Ajax Search OSC contrib, but it is not working correctly.  I have triple checked to make sure I followed the instructions and I have definitely installed it correctly.
When I test it out, I type a letter in the search box and about 1 second later, I get a javascript popup (alert) that says "Error accessing the server!".  I tried turning on debug information to get more detail and all it says is "[object Error]"
Interestingly I found that if I type something that causes no results to come up, I do not get the error and the thing functions as it should by showing the message saying "No results found starting with x".
I wish I could get better debug info than just "[object Error]", but has anyone seen this and know how to fix it?

Also, on a side note, I saw a post in here about a problem where it knocks out the session id and therefore deletes the cart.  Has this been fixed?

Thanks

Hello,

Thanks for trying out our products. I think the problem is in xml response of the ajax search. Can you give me
an URL of your store where it is installed so I can look at it? I already encountered such errors, but cant remember how I
fixed it... so this thread will be a good place to post it.

I have the same issue. Unfortunately I can't leave it installed as its a busy production site. But I'm happy to leave it up there for a short period of time for you to see?

Cheers

I think I found the bug

You want htmlspecialchars instead of htmlentities in suggest.php

correct line is:
Code:
        $output .= '<name>' . htmlspecialchars ($row['products_name'], ENT_QUOTES) . '</name>';

We do not know about such problem. Please provide us with more details, links to reproduce and to check out the problem.
