OsCommerce Basic Re-Design

Hello everyone!  I'm interested in the OsCommerce Basic Re-Design software. But I would like to know more about what it can do for me.  Has anyone used it and is it good for people with limited knowledge of editing OsCommerce shopping carts and php files?  Is it easy to use?

I have the OsCommerce shopping cart install and I just had Google Checkout installed by advancewebsoft.com.  I must say they did an excellent job!  However, I would like to re-sign some areas of my cart. Mainly the front page by replacing some graphics and corners. Some of them are named pixel_trans.gif and they are not easy to change.
